The non-profit, Music Aurora, hosted the Aurora Winter Blues Festival Kick-off Bash on March 2, featuring headliners Bywater Blues, as seen in images, and it was a bash to remember – beyond the great live music!
Held in a kept-secret location in an industrial building converted for the night, the unique party also featured a live artist “Dubi”, a silent auction, scotch tasting and of course plenty of beer with eats provided by Food In Motion while the Green Room and volunteers were kept happy with snacks and refreshments provided by TPE’s own Bonnie & Clyde Craft Services.
Pop up shows have also been playing around Aurora, such as at the 331/3 Record Store, to give residents a little taste of what’s to come as well as provide paid opportunities for young talent as well as free workshops for youth looking to learn to play the blues while the event typically raises $100,000 for the town.
The 2019 main event shows will be held at the intimate Theatre Aurora, located at 150 Henderson Drive in Aurora, Ontario Canada, on Friday, March 15 from 8 pm to 10:30 pm, featuring the award winning JW Jones as well as on the same night the wicked harp blowing Jerome Godboo Band. The Saturday March 16 show has the same time slot and will feature award winning Soulstack as well as the infamous Johnny Max Band!
